It was quite a time for me. I was a young acting student of Pam Saunders and Pam put me in contact with Sue Passmore. Sue sat me down in the auditorium of the Adeline Genée and asked me if I would be interested in working at the theatre and with the girls at the school.

I was soon gaining experience in the theatre both on stage and back stage, as well as taking LAMDA  and Guildhall exams with some of the girls. I loved it. I loved the atmosphere, the theatre, the grounds the buildings the staff and the students. It was a magical place and they were the best of times.

I've not been back there for more than 20 years and I would love to see the theatre and the school again. I didn't know it at the time but I know it now  - it was an important part of my life.

So ... I wasn't a student at the school but I spent a lot of time there - and knew (and still know) quite a few of the students. When I finished Drama school I taught theatre at Bush Davies for a couple of years - my first teaching experience and a really enjoyable time!
